INTERNATIONALIZATION TODAY
Yes, I will continue now the different experiences of internationalization in our Society Missionaries of the Holy Apostles (MSA). As provably you know, as MSA, we are an Apostolic Society of Pontifical Right, and our dedication is to give priests and leaders to the Church in the world. We were created for to be at the service of the Bishops, and this mission in the Church allow as to be creative and used different ways to awake and form vocations for the Church.
One of this experience has improved this past year to respond to the need of the Church, first we accept the manner to search vocations have changed dramatically in this last 20 years, so now the young and adult people are more centered in the witnesses of the life and sometimes they don’t see the need to accept the challenge to be a priest, so this had make tremendous impact in the life of the Church in many countries, they don’t have sufficient vocations to the priesthood for to assume the task of pastors when the ordained priests are growing in age, so we need young people to be shepherds in the Church.
Many dioceses are accepting vocations from other countries becoming land of mission and new evangelization. How the MSA had answered in front of this need?
Well we are present in several countries like: Cameroun in Africa, Assisi in Italy, Montreal in Canada, several places in United States of America, in South America we are in Venezuela, Colombia, Peru and Brazil.
In all this countries we are experiencing the presence of multi cultural team:
a) In Peru we have a temporal member from USA Dennis Connell studying his theology there and working in the team of formation. Fr. Jean Braconin Kasiama he is from Republic Democratic of Congo and he is a parish pastor with his assistant Fr. Wilson Baron from Colombia and Vincent Kilidjian from Canada. They work with his brothers Peruvians. We have 7 probants (Novices) from Colombia and Peru.
b) In Colombia we have fathers: Abad Martinez a Peruvian, Teofilo Ngouo from Congo, Anfroy Pacherres from Peru, Jose Zapata from Peru, all working with his brothers Colombians. They work in the Seminary and parishes.
c) In Venezuela we have Brs. Jean Paul Canturini, Domingo Elera and Fr. Guillermo Solis from Peru.
d) In USA: Fathers Michel Legault and Jean Paul Roy from Canada and Luis Luna from Peru, they work in team with his American brothers in the Seminary Holy Apostles. Here we have at the time of Probation (Novitiate) two candidates James Tandayat from India and John from USA.
e) In Canada: we have members with tremendous experiences ad gentes: Frs. Henry Paradi, Yvon Archambault, Jean Claude Bergeron, Jacques Taillefer, etc, so many we thank them for all their work. (Will continue…)
The last ordination during the present year show a great improvement for our society: in Cameron were ordained as deacons Pierre Ateba and Bienvenue Aime Kono, in Colombia was ordained priest Jose Pompilio Moreno; in Peru made his final promise Carlos Morante and in USA made his final promise too Charles Bak, and he will be ordained deacon very soon. So the fruits of formation is given many new members, praise be the Lord.
